CONVERSION OF A LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE WITH PARTITION WALLS
Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 16, Bremen
8,600 square metres
The company Sandstedt GmbH & Co. KG was planning internal reconstruction measures, whereby two areas were expected to be divided by partition walls in one of its logistics warehouse halls. The conversion meets the requirements of the tenant, REWE-Großverbraucher-Service, who will also use this hall later.
The planned partition wall in the axes separates an area designed as a dispatch storeroom from the existing dry goods storage area as well as an incoming delivery zone directly in front of the loading ramps. A roof was put on the 6.5-metre-high partition wall to the incoming delivery zone and each existing external door was given another sectional door of the same size, as well as emergency exit doors in line with the existing building. The partition wall between the dispatch and dry goods storeroom stretches out under the hall roof and has three high-speed doors and three escape doors altogether. The existing steel racks were reconstructed in the new dispatch storeroom, where goods are only placed on pallets for loading the trucks.
